Adventure is out there!

Hello,
I have just completed the first leg of my journey to Kazakhstan. I flew from Chicago to Amsterdam and had an eight hour layover in the Amsterdam, during which I took the train to The Hague. I haphazardly picked "den haag central station" from a rail map at the airport, influenced by NPR's reports from the Hague. I spent a couple hours walking around the city center and I saw the International Crimes Court and the Peace Palace. I noticed that the streets and the sidewalks were similarly colored a few times I walked right off the sidewalk into an intersections, but shockingly enough cars were quite conscientious of crosswalks. It was lovely to be able to turn off of busy streets and stumble upon a lily pad laden canal. My next flight is in a couple hours, so I'm searching for a train headed back to the airport.
